Thanks Gary,
I really do appreciate the generic advice.
Are you able to specify if the claimant would be best served to reference his award of 30% Disablity Assesssment for life that qualifies for Industrial Injuries Benefit?
The claimant opted to complete his PIP application electronically.
Best wishes

Hi UC: Universal Compassion!
I am not sure if mentioning Industrial Injuries Benefit will help, I have helped claimants who have had Industrial Injuries Benefit apply for PIP but the claim was based on the PIP criteria, although I do not see any harm in mentioning it especially if the condition is degenerative.
Quite often we hear from members who were in receipt of DLA indefinite award only to get turned down for PIP. This is mainly due to claimants not using the PIP criteria when completing their forms. Which is why we advise claimants to use the guides we provide, they are very well written.
PIP can now be completed on line, I was talking to a claimant today who completed the on line form last week, they found it tiring but could leave it and then go back to it when they were up to it, I have not seen it myself.

Thank you Gary!
I have had a look at the online PIP claim form and the claimant actually prefers it!
Thanks for your help!
