It’s that dreaded time again was created by niki_s_uk
Hi
As the title says, ‘It’s that time again’.
I have received the 24 paged review form and I was wondering if I have to put every detail in again or (and I know this is probably the trap, but I really can’t remember my last review and how I approached it) is it sufficient to say all of the last application still stands (I’m answering myself here in my head and saying ‘don’t be stupid, of course you need to fill every minute detail in!) and add updates on my conditions and add my newer health problems.
I’m asking for clarification because my head is so addled with all of the medications I’m on, I have to second guess everything.
I think I know the answer, just need it hammering home!
Thanks for baring with me, I know, I need to give my head a big wobble!
Nic

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi niki_s_uk
I would advise that you look at the manual on filling in a review form. If you are too unwell to write anything, you can just say nothing has changed, but that's not what we advise. We encourage people to write a couple of sentences per question. You certainly don't have to write anything like you did the first time. Look from page 124 of the manual

Hi BIS
Thank you so much for your help - I've been putting off and putting off doing the form because I wasn't sure what is needed.
I've had a look at the guide from page 124 and I think I know what to do now - other than I'm not sure what descriptors I need to slide in to help my renewal.
I've done my claim a few times now but it still never fails to frighten the life out of you when the forms drop through the door like a brick.
I, like many others here are terrified of losing our benefits because there's absolutely no way we could work and the alternative doesn't bare thinking about.
I don't think those at the DWP making the decisions quite have a handle on how important it is to get it right and people's lives literally depend on them.
Sorry, droning on you've no doubt heard it a thousand times.
Thank You x

Hi niki_s_uk
You didn't drone on at all. And don't put yourself down because you're terrified at filling at the form. However many times you do it, it feels terrifying because so much is at stake.
Good luck with it.

Hi fmoss1
Your feelings are normal. Try not to be too hard on yourself and do it to the best of your ability. Nearly everyone feels once they have sent it in, they wish they had done some part of it differently. It won't be perfect - just do the best you can.
