Review form difficulty in completing... was created by ELIZABETH1960
I am finding it extremely difficult to complete pip review.
I have physical health conditions which pip already have on their system including various consultants letters and pain management reports from pain consultants...

Completing review for is absolutely stressing me out , I just want to cry...and give up....
I have since been diagnosed with fibromyalgia since completing my initial pip application.......and this is where I am having problems. I find it extremely difficult to explain how this condition affects me because their are so many symptoms that I experience...and affects me..
It affects my cognitive function, word finding difficulty, or using and coming out with wrong words...my brain seems to shut down. It’s upsets me and I become frustrated to point that I am now seriously considering ripping up the form because I cannot cope or even process the information on your guides...
I really am struggling to complete review....
I am currently under. Neurologist, and Psychologist because of having stuttering speech difficulties, forgetting stuff, poor memory and concentration issues..
Now you my think that this posting is okay cognitively. However, it’s
taken me nearly three hours to put together...

Hi ELIZABETH1960,
Firstly may I implore that you don't give up. Filling out PIP forms IS a daunting process and no one finds this easy.
I assume there us no nearby friend or relative that could help. Failing that churches or community centres often have volunteers who might help fill out forms.
Presumably you have also read our members guides - there is a lot of helpful information there.
So, if you can't find someone to help then I suggest you try and complete one section at a time. This may take a while by all means phone DWP and ask for more time to complete the form if you are struggling.
What you have described in your post gives a good insight into your condition, copying that would be good background. ( Of course delete the bit about ripping up the form and giving up!)
If actually writing is a problem, then simply type each answer on a separate page clearly headed up, and with your name and NI number and then refer to the extra page on the questionnaire.
If you are struggling to write down about your disabilities try writing a diary for a few days. What I mean is basically note down all the things you struggle with during the day and night if applicable. So, for example your diary might start;
Monday 1st
Poor night's sleep, in a lot of pain. Very unsteady on the way to bathroom when I got up. Stumbled twice as left leg gave way suddenly.
Husband had to help me downstairs. Hands were very shaky and pain and grip very poor. Dropped coffee down lap.
Phone rang. Wasn't expecting call, suddenly felt very anxious and panicky, needed to lie down etc etc
Write as much as you can, including the better times or worse times. If you are to walk anywhere, see if you work out how far. Maybe get a friend to help pace it out. Note if you stopped and for how long and why.
Just concentrate on the diary for a few days, then hopefully you will have a better insight into what to put on the form.
Remember that problems don't have to be 100% of the time. However, you might get a better day, and can do more but remember to nite whether this causes eg more fatigue etc the following day/s. Think about the help you realistically need although if course you may not actually have someone with you all the time to effect the help needed. If you can't perform an activity safely, to an acceptable standard, within a reasonable time no more than twice the time a non disabled person would take. Also can you repeat the activity across the day as often as required? All 4 criteria must be fulfilled. If one or more criteria can't be met then this suggests you may actually need help or a gadget (aid/appliance) or of course can not do all or part of the activity, and should be able to score points accordingly.
Lastly, if your condition is the same as before you should get the same level of points.Depending on what has become worse, you might be eligible for more points.State if your health is the same or different. Don't be afraid to repeat things on each page if needed. Eg I can't cook because my painful hands ....I can't dress because of my painful hands...
I hope this helps.
Let us know how you get on.
Good luck.
