assesment on fri ..advice pls was created by melany
hi, my partner has video call on friday
i helped him fill in the form and will be with him during the call
how much can i take part in answering the questions - he suffers immense brain fog and social anxiety. i know his answers will only give the tip of the iceberg . i have exlained everything in great detail in the form...how much do we need to get across in the interview?
any other tips would be gratefully received. thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Melany
Is this for PIP? Either way, make sure you have looked at the relevant manual about telephone assessments. I know your partners is a video assessment but the sort of questions that will be asked will be the same.
Your partner can explain at the beginning that he needs help because of his condition. How much you are allowed to say will depend on the assessor. Unless you are an official appointee of your partner - some assessors may allow you to speak a lot and others won't. Keep calm, stay polite and ask before the assessment starts. They should be open if you have already explained it on the form.
