hi, I posted this yesterday, but I don't see it on the forum yet, apologies if it is still being moderated, I think all legacy benefits are being migrated to Universal Credit, I Presume my ESA is a legacy benefit? i am on contribution based ESA support group payments and also PIP, my question is I know at the moment my payments are not means tested, I was just wondering if I am put on UC will it then become a means tested benefit? I have been on benefits since 2003, it was incapacity benefit until it changed to ESA, thanks in advance for any answers
I can see that your post has not been answered from yesterday, I will answer it next.
As you are CB ESA and in the support group then I would imagine you would stay as you are. I have not yet heard what may happen to CB ESA claimants. Remember UC is a means tested benefit.
CB ESA is the same as NS ESA, as you are in the support group then your award is indefinite until you are next reassessed then depending on the out come you will either stay on CB ESA or you will be placed in the work group or found fit for work.
