Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Fiona,
I can see and have approved this one so you did this one right.
I had a quick look for any others from you but didnn’t see any. I will have another look shortly.
Perhaps you can try your original post one more time and see if it appears.
Regards
Pete

Hi Fiona
The only other post I can find was from 2 years ago.
Would that be right?

Thank you.
Here is my current post:-
Dear Forum Members,
I was wondering if I have just had the most bizarre Work Capability Assessment Telephone Interview ever.
I have lots of disabilities including eczema, epilepsy, post-traumatic stress disorder, bi-polar, anxiety and depression, impaired eyesight, impaired hearing, irritable bowel syndrome, migraine, chronic pain, peripheral neuropathy, brain damage, memory problems and am being investigated for Multiple Sclerosis due to shooting pains, numbness and pins and needles. (But I cannot get an appointment with a Neurologist for a diagnosis until April this year due to Covid backlogs etc.)
However when I had my Telephone Interview just now all the Assessor concentrated on for nearly an hour were my pain and mobility issues. She only touched briefly on some of my other issues which would have scored enough points to get me passed on a WCA on their symptoms alone and others she completely ignored such as my now near permanent double incontinence etc.
Why did she do such a thing? For instance asked me how I was able to get to the bus stop and I explained that I did such a thing once when I was in pain because I needed to get to the dentist because of a rotten wisdom tooth but I could not get a lift or a taxi and could not get there on my mobility scooter since it was too far and mobility scooters are not allowed on buses.
She said that I was able to get to the bus stop and I emphasized that I was not able to do so without pain and that I had tears streaming down my face when I did so but I urgently needed my wisdom tooth to be treated. I said being forced to do something while in constant pain because of emergency circumstances is not the same as being “able to” in the normal meaning of the words. She then asked me what the “recovery period” was for me to get out of the pain – I said there was no “recovery period”. I was always in pain – just that it was variable on whether it was a day I was using Tramadol and it was working etc. when the pain might be less but never gone etc. I emphasized that I was never out of pain – just sometimes in less pain etc.
Luckily I got the whole telephone interview recorded – legally because I applied to do so.
Why didn’t she concentrate on all of my disabilities to get a more rounded picture? The so called Assessment was not an accurate Assessment at all because it ignored about 90% of the other disabilities that incapacitate my life considerably.
She said that the information she got about my pain and mobility issues would “be enough” for the DWP to make an Assessment on. How can that be true?
Does anyone have any idea about why she would conduct such a skewed interview in concentrating on 10% of my disabilities and ignoring the other 90%?
Just one more thing the Assessor seemed very interested in the fact that I was on the highest levels of Care and Mobility for PIP. Could this interview technique be related to this fact?
I told her that if the Assessment came back that I was fit to work that I would Appeal and raise objections to the fact that my other disabilities had been either minimized and/or nearly ignored.
Has anyone else experienced this type of Assessment or can comment as to what was actually going on?
Many thanks,
Fiona
PS I am on Universal Credit and I understand that if I pass the Work Capability Assessment I will get the added component backdated to about after three months from the date of my UC claim. Is that correct? Also I will be retired on the State Pension in less than two months.
