ESA backdating

Hi all

As part of my ongoing saga to apply for benefits, I encountered an archaic (well, from the 80s) rule that limits all backdating to 3 months before the application is made. This is in spite of any knowledge the claimant did or did not have of the claim, nor any capability that the claimant had during their period of illness. I have therefore created a petition asking for this to be removed for future claims. If you'd like to sign, the link is below.

Have done, my husband has done as he completely agrees about the stressfulness, and will try to get daughter to sign too.
