I am currently claiming Industrial Injuries disability Benefit (IIDB) at 15% for osteoarthritis of the knees and 6% for Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS). This involved face to face assessments and was awarded by DWP for life. I am starting to complete the forms to attempt to claim PIP, as these and additional conditions affect my ability to carry out daily routine tasks. Should I use the letter from the DWP confirming my existing disabilities and the award of IIDB as evidence in my current application for PIP?
Hi Martin, Yes I would definitely include the IIDB assessments. DWP often include ESA reports etc! Explain how the 2 conditions affect you in terms of PIP activities. Of course if you have GP or consultants reports include these too. LL26
