Hi judy52,
The assessment report - PA4 is usually available 2 or 3 days after the assessment has taken place, so you won't need to contact DWP until a couple of days after the assessment appointment. If your husband has any reasons or problems why he can't attend any particular type of assessment you should contact DWP now.
Unfortunately there are a lot of delays at present so it may take a while before you get an appointment if your husband needs this!
Good luck. Let us know how you get on.

Hello judy52, please please be sure to insist on a recording being made; contact the assessment provider as soon as you are told the appointment date, regardless what it says in any letter. This is a must to avoid tears later. Then when you get the PA4 afterwards you will be able to compare the report with the recorded reality and act accordingly.
Very best wishes,
Denby
