Pip review form what happens next please was created by Anntoinette
Well just before Christmas I received the pip review form. I got loads of evidence and really wrote about how my mental health diagnosis, deafness and arthritis effects me in my daily life. I wanted to cover everything, so I requested my medical history from the hospital, I used letters I have been sent, more details from my gp records as I am able to access them online. I used so much information that I had pages attached as there is just not enough room to write anything. I also added all the deaf equipment I have had fitted due to my hearing getting worse. I posted it recorded and signed for and it was delivered on 31st January 2022.

What happens now please?

I'm terrified the last time I dealt with them was life time DLA to pip and that was not very helpful.

Thank you for any advice it is really appreciated, I understand that each case is different with different timetables , I'm just trying to find out what may happen now as I have not got a clue how pip works on them receiving a review form.

Hi Anntoinette

I'm afraid now you are playing a waiting game. I can't tell you how long you will have to wait. Some people hear within 2 -4 weeks and some are waiting 16 weeks or more. Now your form is with the DWP they will decide whether you need to have a telephone assessment or a paper-based assessment. If you are to have a telephone assessment your paperwork will be passed to an assessment provider and you will be contacted at some point. If you are to have a paper-based assessment it will be carried out and they will write to you with the decision.  We used to be able to give more accurate time scales, but it has been almost impossible since the pandemic started and since they are still working through a backlog.
