Yes I have been been waiting for 9 months having sent my renewal for back early May 2021 and still not received a decision, having contacted DWP numerous times because my PIP comes to end early March I get the same response “I have to wait as new claims are being processed first”. How long do we have to wait because it is so stressful waiting and no good for mental health.

Hi Nicola

I moved your post because we ask people not to ask a question on the back of someone else's post as it can lead to confusion.  We currently don't know how long people can wait for a reply regarding their review. Yours is obviously a long time and all you can keep doing is asking. I realise this is extremely stressful.

Hi Niclou, you can always let off steam by contacting your MP. They may or may not choose to try and help, but at least you will be making them aware of what's going on.
The other thing you might do is diarise the bad effect on your mental health. You could add this to your complaint to the MP pointing out that the DWPs failure is adding to the load on the NHS. And it might add up to additional info for the review itself which you could try sending in.
Best wishes,
Denby

Hi Niclou,

Just to say; regarding you contacting your MP - I might have been lucky, but I've done this on two occasions, each one finishing with a very positive outcome.

My constituency is one of the northern 'Red Wall' variety so both Labour and Tory MP's have supported me.

I wouldn't hesitate to contact your MP. What have you got to lose? It's really simple just google: contact my MP and the box asks for your postcode and - hey presto it takes you to the box where you can email.

I mean, that's what they are paid for, aren't they? To support and help their constituents - lockdown parties are just little perks!

Good luck!

Kind regards,

Phrank.
