Hi, I currently receive Pip for care component but recently I am having to use a walking stick both inside and out as I am having falls coming from osteoarthritis in both knees. Would I be able to apply for just the mobility component as I receive the care .?

Hi Souter

You can contact the DWP at any time and report a change of circumstances but it comes with a warning, even if your condition has deteriorated you still may not be eligible.

When you apply for a change of circs DWP will look at your whole claim not just the mobility component.

Do you know when you will be re-assessed? If it is not too far off, then you may want to wait until you get nearer the date before contacting DWP.
