Hi phrank
I have to agree with you, it will become the norm, I can see lots of advantages in completing the claims form on line, no more missing posts but there may be glitches in the internet connections so always save as you go along so as not to loose data.
I have not yet done one myself on line, so it is good to hear from claimants who have so we know what to look out for.
I cannot see paper forms disappearing, it's a bit like UC, UC is an on line application claim but for those who do not have internet access they can apply by phone.

Hi Waxwing
Thank you for your question, I have no idea if you can upload a PDF file but fellow members may. If not contact DWP and ask.

Hi everyone, I thought I would add my 2 pence worth regarding this.
Advantages are indeed handy to be done online? But I still would prefer sending in paper forms with all evidence attached like we have done in the past.
Yes online is a good option for those that cannot write very well. All forms whether it be ESA or PIP is, I still type up all mine and add in anything I send in as proof, I list it with ing the forms stating I'm sending in XYZ, also adding in extra type out sheets with name and my NI number on any addition pages.
One thing I will say within this message, I still will never give them, the DWP a phone number, as it has been proven time again here that claimants are having shocking telephone assessments even with recording them?
My preference is still typing it all up and adding the relevant documentation all included, then getting it sent by registered post.
Good luck to everyone that does it online but not for me ever.

Hi Waxwing and Gary,
I'm not certain about PDF files (in fact I don't think there is an option to include them), all I know is we took photos of the relevant letters and hit the submit button..
One thing I do seem to remember; once the form had been submitted, we got email confirmation with the form as it had been filled in which is very handy to refer to.
Even so, we took screenshots of each page to make doubly sure we had copies of everything sent.
One last thing: you don't get a chance to see what supporting evidence you sent so my advice is to make sure you file away all the hard copies and keep them safe for future reference.
I hope this helps,
Kind regards,
Phrank.

Hi phrank
Thanks for the update, as I have not yet done one I am learning from those members who have.
I did speak to HMCTS yesterday in regards to representatives, they informed me that if a claimant writes to them to appeal a DWP decision and they have not added a rep then anything sent to HMCTS by the rep will not be added to the claimants file.
I had done a submission for a client not knowing they had already appealed to HMCTS, I was going to do an online appeal, but now I have to wait until the client writes to HMCTS to add me as their rep before I can send in my submission.
