Hi Fencehouses

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is.

Welcome to Benefits and Work

We cannot answer your question as we do not know you, we do have a PIP self-tester where you can check for your self if you would be eligible. www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/personal-indep...nt-pip/pip-self-test

PIP is not awarded because of the condition but rather the limitations that result and prevent a claimant from completing a range of everyday activities.

We do have a very good guide to help you apply for PIP if the self-tester states that you may be eligible; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip#claims

Hi Fencehouses,
To continue from Gary's advice, if you do decide to claim PIP, then it is always a good idea to visit the doctor around the same time as you claim. (Or equally physio/consultant etc.) This means that there is then that at least the GP etc is more aware of your condition as of the time of your claim. It may be easier to sort out medical reports etc before you make the claim, then you will have everything ready, if you do decide to claim.
I hope this helps.

Hi Fencehouses, if you read through the guide you will find a section giving sample diary entries and a template. It is really really good to do a diary and you or you wife can write this up -typed is good- to show how you struggle with the various activities such as washing and dressing or walking. They actually like these and you don't have to fight or pay a doctor for it, just truthfully do it yourself.
Worked for our daughter.
best wishes,
Denby
