Hi pusscatsmum
I frequently come across claimants on CB ESA who should also be claiming IR ESA as they would be eligible to extra premiums such as SDP and EDP, I also come across IR ESA who are not getting SDP or EDP.
The main cause of not receiving these extra premiums is that no one told them they would be eligible. This is one of the reason why we quite often say to members, seek help from your local Welfare Rights Organisation who can take all your circumstances into consideration.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe a date of 25th February 22 has been given as a date to "lodge" an Appeal.

Tragically some local welfare rights people do not know as much as we readers can glean from the amazingly reliable B&W. I signposted someone to local Unemployed Workers' Centre last week only for them to be told it was not legal for them to record any assessment such as phone ESA one. And that to do so they would require a double CD burner or some such. Then I am faced with saying "do not believe that person I sent you to, believe me because from B&W I DO know your rights."
And I just wish that people bold enough to take others' lives in their hands via PIP apps etc would get B&W training before they are let loose on the vulnerable public.
Rant done, for now...

Hi denby
Well done for putting them right, you should send the Unemployed Workers centre the link
1.6.61 If it is only the claimant’s personal data that is being recorded then there are no restrictions on the use the claimant can make of the recording. However, the DWP reserves the right to take appropriate action where the recording is used for unlawful purposes – for example, if it is altered and published for malicious reasons.
