Backdated pip (Social Support) was created by KazM
As pip have just enhanced my care rate and backdated it to March would they not have backdated it to when I first got pip in 2018. It was because of the 4 points for social support instead of 2. I know with the new law they are going to be contacting people who were only awarded the 2 points for prompting and going back as far as 2016 or when pip was first awarded subject to no tribunals. My situation was exactly the same then as it is now. I just thought while they were working on my case should it not have been picked up?Thank you

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi KazM
The people who have been dealing with your current claim, are not the same set of people who are looking at the cases affected by the change in the law - so no, they would not have picked it up. You can write/ring and ask them to look at your case.

If I did ring them them I assume that wouldn't have an affect on my recent decision which was overturned just before my tribunal? I was surprised they backdated my payment to March 21 when my review date was in Sep. Thank you.

Hi KazM
You are right to assume there will be no impact on your current award if you ring and ask them to look back.

Hi KazM
It would depend on what you are asking, follow BIS instructions in previous post, alternative contact your local Welfare Rights Organisation for advice.

Thanks, I called them and they explained how they scan certain conditions and when mine flags up they will write out.
