Hello
This is the first time am writing on the forum, I already receive esa also p I p at enhanced rate for daily living but standed rate for mobility .
I have developed bowle incontinence also mild empchema now for a few months .
I am unsure if I should apply for or try to get enhanced mobility now , I have been receiving p I p for years now and due to apply again just before my 65 birthday , but that's 3 years away . Please any advise or should I just leave it till
my reassessment date . Don't want to loose it all together heard that many stories.

We can't advise you what to do here because we are not assessors and we don't have knowledge of your case. If however, you leave it until your 65th birthday you will find that you will not be able to get the uplift for mobility - so if this is something you feel you are entitled to and have a chance of winning you should go for it soon. There are always horror stories and it is awful for every individual that has one. What one hears less about is the people who have been successful. I promise you they do exist - but you have to do what feels right for you.

Hi June
The relevant age now is no longer 65 but State Pension age.
If you are awarded PIP, it can be paid after reaching State Pension age, as long, as you continue to satisfy the entitlement conditions.
Unfortunately you cannot be awarded high Mobility as a new or an increased award after you reach the relevant age with the exception of the initial transfer from DLA to PIP where the age restriction is suspended.
