NI deductions from sick pay while getting support group cESA payments was created by vf.mcmillan
Hi,
I try to deal with my daughter's benefits as she has been off work sick since 2016, I hope you can help clarify her National Insurance contribution problem.
She is still employed by her company and is being paid a percentage of her salary while she is sick (I understand the long term sickness benefit is provided by her employer's group insurance) .
We did not realise she could claim ESA until 2020 and she is now in the support group for contribution based ESA benefit.
I am trying to find out if her employer is correct in deducting National Insurance from her payments as on doing some more research recently I discovered that since getting cESA she is being given NI credits.
If her employer has made NI deductions incorrectly can we claim them back and if so when from?
Regards Val

Hi vf.mcmillan
I'm sorry, but your question is outside the scope of the forum. You need to seek specialist benefits advice. I have attached a link below to see if you can find one in your area.
