PIP Success with Long Covid was created by Pandora65
Just wanted to share the news that after watching the training videos and following the claims guide closely, I have been awarded PIP at the enhanced rate for both elements. The videos really help you to get your head around the principle that its not your condition or illness, but the way this impacts the different activities of daily living that count. I know I have been lucky and it shouldn't be so, but I'm just so relieved I don't have to fight on as others do. Since catching Covid in December 2020 I have been unable to return to work. Covid has caused me to develop Fibromyalgia, POTS and now Functional Neurological Disorder which makes it very hard for me to walk. I also have chronic fatigue and brain fog. I asked for the assessors report and they suggested an award length of 18 months. I got the actual award letter today and it's been given for nearly 3 years. The best evidence they referred to again and again was a supportive report from the Long Covid clinic which confirmed the impact of my conditions on activities of daily living. I recevied a lump sum in my account about 2.5 weeks after the assessment so maybe they're catching up.
Thank you B&W. So worth the subscription

Hi Pandora65,
So good to hear your brilliant news. I'm glad that you found our website helpful.
Having Covid and then Long Covid must give rise to a lot of uncertainty. At least you don't need to worry about your PIP claim for a while.
Wishing you all the best.
