PIP payment stopped but no renewal form received was created by Shrimp
Hello, I originally joined this site many years ago but did not renew for several years but re joined today
This might be a bit long so apologise for that
I have been on DLA then PIP for about 12 years.
My PIP got extended to January 2023 due to covid probably like thousands of others
Several weeks ago I received a letter stating "please return renewal forms by....." I had not received any forms, tried ringing but gave up and sent a recorded delivery letter advising no forms received - letter was delivered and signed for, 2 weeks later heard nothing (I had been ringing but to no avail) so wrote again advising waiting to hear from them, week passed and got a letter advising payments had been stopped and so had my reward due to non return of forms.
I rang DWP over course of 2 days and finally after actually spending several hours ringing got through - I explained that no forms received and had written and told them twice and now payments stopped - lady spoke to a case worker and said another form would be sent out and payments would be reinstated.......roll on 2 weeks - no form - rang again and actually got through after just over hour and half and was told that I had been given wrong information and if no form returned then award is closed, I said I had written twice and seemed my letters ignored even though she said they were logged on screen, she spoke to a case worker and due to wrong info being given they will send new forms BUT money will not be reinstated until forms received
Can anyone advise if this is correct ??? I do have other questions but will do separate posts
Thanks in advance

Hi Shrimp
I think what has happened is that your claim has been suspended until they receive your forms. have you received the new forms to complete, if you have, have you sent them back by recorded delivery?
With any letter you send to DWP always use recorded delivery, if they go missing which they do quite often you have proof they they were sent and delivered.
If you are still having issues with your claim I would involve your MP to help expedite your claim.
