Face to face or telephone? was created by Kendod66
I am booked in for a face to face assessment for my renewal.

Rang today and was offered a telephone assessment if that would be easier for me.

Yes the telephone is easier......what am I missing here?

Currently full pip.
Original award was 3 years. They challenged after 1 year, and removed it all, I then took to the point of tribunal, they changed minds and I got full award back.
(Although Lost and had to rearrange the car I paid and adapted!)

Face to Face it'll be me alone in the room. I speak on the phone for a living so far more comfortable

Hi Kendod666, Sounds like a phone assessment suits you best, you can have someone with you if you wish and you can record the assessment.
If you wish you can also request it is recorded by the DWP, if it isn't already, though this would change the date of your assessment.

What would help is being as prepared as you can. Having your renewal form in front of you, reading the guides on Benefits and work, writing down what you might need to say, especially if you have memory problems.

Hope this helps
