Reporting a change in pip was created by Mike1950
Hi.
I have raised this question a few months back but then I was in two minds, now I am in ten minds!!!!!
I was awarded lower pip on both sections in 2018 for ten years, good result under the circumstances. Now for the last twelve months my mobility has gone downhill rapidly. It would be easy to just stay where I am but I am anxious about being able to continue going out and not feeling trapped. Is there any information about success rates of claimants going from lower mobility to higher mobility after reporting a change in circumstances.
Many thanks, Mike.

Hi Mike
According to government statistics from 2016 to Jan 2022, 45% of claimants get an increased award when they report a change of circumstances.

How old are you Mike? Looking at your username and wondering if that’s your birth year! If you’re over pension age I believe that you can’t get an increase in the mobility component regardless of any change in circumstances.
