Hi Paulie

I'm sorry this has happened to you. If you have a smart phone - always take a photograph of your receipts and then you don't have to worry about keeping the specific piece of paper.

Hi Paulie,

Sorry to hear that they have lost your letter. It may be a long shot but have you tried looking in your browser history? It might show you a link like www.royalmail.com/track-your-item#/track...esults/RM123456789GB

Adding to what BIS said (for future reference), download the Royal Mail's free app if you have a smartphone. It keeps a record of the last 30 tracked items; I can see items I have tracked as far back as 15th Sep 2021.

I hope you made a copy of the letter and could perhaps resend it? Again, make another copy or ask one of your friends to help you if you can't do it yourself.

I hope the above is of some help.

Best wishes,

Josh

Thank you Josh

That is very useful information, we sometimes hear of other members who are in a similar situation as Paulie.

Thanks for your replies on this. I have kept copies of evidence. I have called DWP back and they have put notes on that stuff lost. I have agreed to resend. When I saw the signature X at the time I was not inspired with confidence. I'm going to go back through browser history , as suggested. I'll post on here, if I'm in luck with that. Many thanks.
