New Pip form was created by squ199ly
Hi,
Me again.
I've reached section 3 question 12 which is title Moving around. There is no question here to which I can answer 'I use a wheelchair all the time'. My options are less than 20m, between 20 and 50m, between 50 and 200m, 200m or more. Then it asks what aid or assistance do you need to help you walk? Again walking is the only option given. So I've written a kind of statement explaining what I need to get around i.e. a wheelchair and why. Can I just direct them to this statement and leave this section blank? I've been really thown by the fact that this 24 page form doesn't seem to have the same questions or layout as the one used in the guide. Anyone else had this experience?

Thanks
Robert

Hi squ199ly

Don't leave it blank, direct them to your statement. I would write see page .. X of Y

It is perfectly OK for you to type your answers and attach them as extra pages to the form, just make sure that each page has your full name and NIN at the top and that they are numbered, we recommend "page X of Y" so that it is easy to see if pages are missing. Make sure you clearly mark on the form where your answers are and on the relevant page that you are answering question X.

Attach the pages to the back of the form using a staple or make a hole in the top left corner and use a treasury tag, string or ribbon to the form. The pages need to be easily detached so that they can be scanned by the DWP.

Hi Vladimir

We can't actually help people fill in their PIP forms. We have excellent guides that people can use, which will tell you the sorts of answers to each question that you might have. If you have any specific questions then we will try to answer them.

Richard's post hints at the fact the updated PIP2 form (January 2021) looks different to past forms. Some parts of questions have been removed. This is not reflected in Benefits and Work guide that I have (June 2021). Is there a newer version of the guide?

Hi Dom

We have two versions of the PIP guide, old offline form version and new and online form version.
A new PIP form was released by the DWP in January 2021. Some claimants received the old form whilst others received the new form which was why there are two PIP guides.

The latest guide is version 55 (April 2022).
