My brother won his pip appeal 3 weeks ago and got the standard rate till April 24,backdated to April 21.He has not recieved anything from the DWP but got the Tribunal award letter.On thursday he got a phone call from the DWP saying they had 5 questions to ask him.1/ have ever been in prison.
2/have you ever been in a childrens care home.
3/have you been on holiday for 3 weeks or more.
4/have you been in hospital.
5/he can't recall.
Ihave never heard of this before any advice.

I haven't heard anyone being asked those particular questions after an appeal win, but someone else might have. He should receive the money quite quickly - if he can face it - I would ring and ask the reason for the call.

These are actually standard questions prior to the payment of a Tribunal Decision, all potentially (if yes) can affect the amount of money to be paid.
