PIP RENEWAL no supporting letter from the GP was created by Rocker
Hi am just enquiring my pip was Extended to next year September 2023 I know they can ask for pip renewal any time they sent it now what it reads what NOT to send a Supporting letter from the GP and general information or fact sheets about your condition and no fact sheets about your medication so am just wondering not to get a support letter from the GP also you can not send any supporting evidence from the past so should I trust them they’ve still got all my evidence from the past THANKS

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Petermcgarry
Yes, they do say that, but many people ignore this advice and get a supporting letter. If you have no up to date information from any other service - I would definitely get one if you're able to when the time comes. Should you rely on them looking at past information? Some people do and some people don't. This is something you will have to decide for yourself. If you don't send in any past information, you certainly want to reference information from the past to remind them that they have it. A lot of people prefer to play safe and send in prior information.

Hi Peter, 1, you might want to change to a username that doesn't look like a real name by which you could be traced, you can do that in your account section.
2, Please take no notice of all their off-putting "don'ts, " it is not law, they cannot mark you down for sending whatever you consider helps your claim. They have to pay GPs to reply to them so mostly don't actually ask your GP despite what they say. You might or might not pay your GP but when I have paid for a letter for our daughter's PIP it has been well worth it.
Best wishes,
Denby
