attending UC appointments when at risk of self-harm was created by DrKiera
I've sent off my UC work capability assessment form a few weeks ago, and for the last two months I've not had any UC appointments because I have repeatedly said these appoiuntments cause me serious anxiety and this leads to suicidal thoughts. I have detailed all this in my UC form and have nots from my DR and the mental health team. I have a phone appoitnment on Monday and have said again I can't attend, but now they've also scheduled a commitments review for the end of May. I'm worried that if I attend the appointment next week or at the end of may they will claim that I *can* attend appointments and other work related activities and not put me in the LCWRA group.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi DrKiera
If you don't take part in the telephone assessment - there may be a risk of your being sanctioned or your benefit being stopped. However, you have given them evidence of the potential harm to your health. Unfortunately, I can't tell you what you should do here. If you do the telephone assessment, it should not stop you from being put in the LCWRA group.

Be aware, I would not expect the DWP administering your UC claim to have any access to information in or with your UC50 form, make sure you post this info on your UC Journal to ensure they are aware of the risks you may face if you have to attend this meeting.
