Oh, I hear you. I help others fill in these forms and reviews but when it came time for me to do my own I was completely unable to. It was one of the most undermining and depressing things I have ever had to do, just couldn't face it. I ended up feeling like a complete fool and a failure. Fortunately someone in our self help group came and supported me through it. I couldn't have done it alone. Sometimes we all need a helping hand.

Hi

Well im back. ....and ...starting to get a tad concerned.

I had a 3 texts since June , starting with ..

we still have you PIP form .....and will be progressing your review..you may need an assessment . Your PIP will continue to be paid until we review your claim. You only need to contact us if your circumstances change...you only need to contact us if your circumstances change ....

the last text was on the 19 December .

The end date of the extension is the 26 March , 10 weeks away.

My anxiety is they will do the same as before....

Review it ....award zero....as they did on review in 2017 ...stop my Husbands ESA IR , remove the SDP...that becomes a change in circs....forced onto UC ...lose our legacy benefit protection....while I appeal...which took nearly a year last time, and I ended up bartering with a DM , who was clueless. I got my award back.

Am I overthinking this ? ...what has happened with other PIP awards? what experiences do you know about? when the end date comes around...?

I have never forgotten the comments of the DM , he said Im putting an end date on this award and you will have to reapply with a fresh claim . He was pretty fed up with

Then Covid happened....and they extended it for 9 months

anyone still waiting for their PIP review ?

Ive just helped a friend with a new claim for PIP , and she got her assessment , and positive award in 4 months.

thanks in advance

Hi Raindaisy

I'm not surprised this makes you anxious, as you want to know what is happening. The positive thing is, that you have received a recent text, so your case has not been forgotten, and you have continued to be paid.

I can't tell you what they will do, but you are still entitled to ring up and remind them that it is coming close to your end date, and you want to know what is happening. Some people have been given a new end date. That hasn't happened to you so far so I would ring and query it.

Sorry, I can't offer you any new advice on this.

Thanks BIS

I will give a chaser call tomorrow or maybe put it in writing . Im bringing the MP in on this , this time, if the DWP are playing their shenanigans again.
