Hi and thanks for reading my question & apologies if I've listed it several times but unsure if it sent.

I am currently on contribution based ESA in support group and wondered if I started permitted work again would it be classed as a change in circumstances or would I be moved from my legacy benefit onto the universal credit nightmare? I havent found a job yet to suit my limited health capabilities but if I did I'd like to know the answer to my question. Many thanks Den

Hi Dengreen,

Since you should be reporting the change to your circumstance if you start permitted work, then it is quite probable that they would use this event as a trigger to move you to UC.

It is worth mentioning that there is a big push in progress to move people to UC so they may do it anyway.

I hope this helps you

Regards
Pete

Sorry to disagree with you but this would be a change to the existing ESA claim with no requirement to claim UC.
