I am in the support group of contributions based ESA. I have been for years. I heard it was moving to UC? If it is, what will it mean for people like ne who are not entitled to income based benefits as my husband works....doesn't earn a lot but still over the threshold.
All legacy benefit claimants will at some stage be asked to apply for UC or NS ESA, the move will start on the 9th May in Bolton and Medway.
New Style ESA is the equivalent of Contribution Base ESA, I have not seen exactly how CB ESA claimants will be moved over to NS ESA, it may be automatically or it CB ESA claimants may be review and then go over to NS ESA.
