Dear Advisors was created by areeba haider
I'm filling in a Pip claim for my 16 year old son who was awarded the highest rate care and low rate mobility on Dla for 10 yrs and now we need to migrate..I'm filling in the forms and my son does fit the criteria when he was assessed for Dla I sent in alot of educational and medical evidence 10 years ago .At that time I thought my son would get an educational health care plan but it was refused and he is on the Sen register for myopia and moderate learning difficulties..in collecting evidence I hardly have any evidence to support his claim except for old evidence dated 8 yrs ago I missed peads appointments and didn't go back as I have an older son who is autistic and I concentrated on him ..mentally it was so hard .My 16 year whose claim it us he has difficulties but is managing here and there I've got a referral done to Paedtricians again however he hasn't seen them I'm wondering how will I convince the Dwp of his needs as my evidence to support what iam saying it's poor
I'm getting really anxious about this
Any help would be appreciated

Hi Areeba,

You are right. 10 year old information will not be acceptable.

I don’t know when your Paediatrician appointment is arranged for but you should press for the earliest possible appointment and report.

In the meantime perhaps you can approach his school for documents which support his claim. You could also go to your GP and ask for supporting data. You could also perhaps approach family and friends for letters of support.

I hope this helps and wish you good luck.

Just an aside, I am not sure whether you are displaying your real name on the site, but if you are you may want to choose to display just your first name or a nickname.

Regards
Pete
