Thank you.
Could I just ask, when I call them requesting a change to a paper based review, will they ask me there and then to explain my reasoning as to why a telephone assessment isn't reasonable for my son? I'd like to be prepared.
thanks

Hi ela67 I can't tell you exactly what they will ask, because I've not made the call, but I advised another member in the last two weeks to phone and they did and it was changed. The circumstances are not the same, but they did not mention any difficulties. You are dealing with a call-handler who doesn't understand medical reasons. There's nothing secret in your reason - you believe it would cause 'untold psychological distress to your son and because of his medical difficulties/conditions he would not be able to give a fair account of himself.' You know better than I - that's just an example. BIS

Hello Elle

I do hope that you and your son are bearing up during your 'PIP review trial' I too was heartbroken to read of your inhumane experience but wish you all the best. The MODS here are all very knowledgeable and are always willing to help with their advice. As a fellow B&W family member, I've asked plenty of questions and it's more than a little reassuring to know that there are more than a few people in your corner to support and encourage you.

Good luck with your son's review, your doing an amazing job.
Best wishes
Sue
