PIP and state pension and pension credits. was created by chopper
Hi, I receive PIP and have just turned 66. I will be getting my state pension in the next
couple of weeks. thats my only income.
My husband gets state pension and pension credits.
Does anyone know if he will still get pension credits when i start receiving my pension.
I have been looking around on google, but cant seem to find any info. I also wrote
to the pension credits office about 4 weeks ago and havent had a reply.
Ive also tried phoning them but cant get through.
Any advice would be very wecome.

Hi Chopper
Your question is outside the scope of this forum. I think you should be able to find the answer on the government website - under the eligibility criteria for pension credits

Hi chopper
You need to see your local Welfare Rights Organisation as pension credits is dependant on household income. advicelocal.uk
Depending on which component of PIP you receive and if any one claims CA for either you or your husband then you may be eligible for a joint SDP premium added to your PC couples allowance.

Hi Chopper,
I think if both of your incomes total £278 70 pw or more then you would not get pension credit, but as Gary says check with your local welfare rights organiser.
Take care
