DLA for older people

You friends DLA will stop after 28 days in hospital, when your friend comes out they need to contact DLA: 0800 731 0122 to let them know when they have been discharged, if their condition has deteriorated they will be able to get assessed for the care component but not the mobility component, if they are receiving low DLA mobility, they will not be able to receive the high rate mobility, although they could get a higher rate on the care component if they are not already in receipt of high care.
