PiP Review was created by Brian1888
Good Afternoon

When DWP receive my PiP Review paperwork and carry out the review do they look at there assessment in my initial face to face assessment / medical.

This is my first review since receiving PiP in 2016 and medically, medication etc nothing has changed.

Many Thanks

Hi Brian1888

The DWP will look at your current form and any paperwork. They obviously have access to your original form and paperwork and your assessment award, but when or if they will look at it, is hard to tell. Many would argue they have difficulty reading current paperwork let alone past papers.

Hi Brian 1888,

Just to say have you impressed upon the DWP the fact that nothing has changed since your last assessment?

I say this because there is a small chance that if this is the case you may well get a paper based review.

This happened to me and I did get a paper based review - but I had to fight for it.

I thought I'd mention it. I know the DWP are snowed under at the moment so are signing off some cases where nothing or little has changed since the last assessment without involving the DWP.

Having said that; I don't want to give you false hope as the vast majority of cases do require assessments - although there is a small chance to be reviewed on the paperwork alone.

Regards,

Phrank.

Hi Brian 1888,

....Just a small but important correction to my previous post.

" I know the DWP are snowed under at the moment so are signing off some cases where nothing or little has changed since the last assessment without involving the DWP".

Should have read 'without involving the ASSESSMENT PROVIDER '.

Sorry for any confusion.

It makes sense; it saves them money.

Regards,

Phrank.
