I’ve been on UC for some time and have recently been awarded PIP as a result of a successful tribunal appeal. I have been awarded the standard rate for Mobility and Daily Living.
I have asked the DWP if I’m entitled to SDP as their website indicates that I am as I’m on UC and I’m living on my own with nobody claiming carers allowance for me. Although their website indicates I am entitled to SDP my DWP case manager says I’m not because I don’t get ESA.
I’m confused as ESA is only one of a number of qualifying benefits necessary to be eligible for SDP. Another qualifying benefit is PIP daily diving.
Could anyone tell me if I’m correct in thinking I’m eligible for SDP
