Difficult to meet the deadline was created by Spring bunny
Hi, my husband received his PIP review form yesterday and he was given 3 weeks to complete and to send it back to DWP.
I usually fill the form for him as he is not capable due to his condition.
His father died recently and we have to go to his house which is quite away from our home to sort things out and for memorial service.
I reckon it will be a week or more.
I don’t think there won’t be enough time left for me to complete the form after we get back home also there are a lot of things to be dealt with about his father so I imagine I don’t have time to do anything for the form.
I am thinking to contact DWP for the extension of the deadline but I am wondering how difficult it is.
Please advice.

Hi Spring Bunny

I'm sorry about the loss of your father-in-law. There will be no difficulty in you being granted an extension. Many people ask for extensions for many different reasons. Don't leave it to the last minute - do it now and you should be given two or three weeks more.

Hi Spring bunny

Thank you for updating us, it will be interesting to see what other members have been offered, two weeks seem to be the norm but members may know better. ;)

Hi, I was given 2 weeks but they said I could ring back and ask for a further 2 weeks if that proved to not be enough time. I hope that helps. Best wishes
