PiP Assessment today was video but ended up telephone was created by Mrsjaffa13
Hello all,
Well I had my assessment at long last today as I live with constant pain, fatigue, rheumatism in hands and depression with diagnosis of Fibromyalgia from the rheumatologist 9 years ago.
Due to this site I had prepared well and used all the guides you have , with copies of my assessment I completed , All the evidence I submitted after getting access to my medical records in my online doctors account and downloading and I paid for a letter from my doctor to support me. I also had my husband with me as he supports and helps me with everything.
I was supposed to have a video appointment so I had dialled in and was waiting in the waiting room, the assessor dialed in and out then rang my mobile and said she had problems and it ended up as phone call only.
I told her I applied first time because my local council advised me to when they renewed my blue badge which I have had since 2018 which they did. I have never applied before as I manage to work at home with a full occupational health assessment in place and didn’t think I could.
Anyway due to all of the advice, posts and information on here I feel that I have done as well as I could and wanted to say thank you. I asked for a break as it last 1 and a half hours and I was tired and in pain.
No matter what the outcome, I did tell her I was expecting the report to not reflect what I had said and I also asked for it to be recorded to which she said they can’t, so I recorded it with her permission. I expect to get turned down and score low or nothing despite calculation myself that I should get the higher rates using your tool. I will ring and ask for report copy on Wednesday .
She said timescales most people receive within 3 to 6 weeks at the moment but if not heard in 8 weeks to contact them.
I will let you know the outcome but thank you everyone especially the moderators you are fabulous and I would never have had the courage to do this without this site and forum.
THANKYOU

Hi Mrsjaffa13,
Thank you for sharing your story. Yes definitely phone up in a couple of days for the report PA4. You never know what points DWP will give. Hopefully this will be sufficient for an award. If not then go through the report and on a spare sheet of paper try and group the major criticisms into 4 or 5 bullet points - give examples of the worst. Dont criticise absolutely every spelling error or grammar point, but this could be one of the bullet points eg lack of attention to detail/ not written in English!
Put that page aside for a moment.
Start your letter with an overview of when/how you became ill and what has generally changed. Then add your report criticism bullet points and examples. Then you can you through the descriptors explaining what points were actually awarded and what shoukd be awarded. You can do a more detailed criticism of the report/decision here and say what points you should have been awarded and why. Give examples of what you can't do/ what goes wrong etc.
Don't worry about repeating what you said on the claim form or referring to your medical reports- DWP has clearly ignored these previously!
Make sure you put name and NI number on all pages.
Whilst I hope you won't need to make an MR letter at least you will be fully prepared if you do!
Good luck.
We await your update.

Hi again, after Fridays assessment I have just got text message to say they have received my written assessment and I should hear within 8 weeks. Does that mean I can request my report or do I still need to wait until Wednesday when it’s been 48 hours working days.
Many thanks
Donna
