I am renting on a joint tenancy, they work out my Housing element as half the total rent minus the difference from the Shared Accomedation rate as they can't pay me more than that rate even if my rent is higher (which it is).
This is what it normally says: "Monthly, we can pay you £430.00 towards your housing costs. We cannot pay the full amount you told us about because: the amount we pay cannot be more than your local Shared Accommodation Rate"
In June, the above clause wasn't there and they paid me the full half of rent. They've done the same this month. Obviously this is helpful and if permanent would be a great change, but I don't trust them to not suddenly go whoops didn't mean to do that you owe us all this money.
Was it supposed to happen? Did others have it too? What should I do about it if anything??
