The good news is that my PIP has been renewed without an assessment. The bad news is that it's only for six months. I have a mental health condition, and would have preferred to have an assessment, and get it over for three years, as happened last time.
I am glad that your PIP has been renewed, but a 6-month award is very short (the minimum used to be 9 months). Even before the pandemic, review times had been shortened. The reasoning behind it was that claimants are not always good at reporting improvements in their condition. (ie they hope to save money).
