A supporting letter from GP was created by Spring bunny
Hi, I am filling PIP review form for my husband.
The guidance which came with the form says “Do not send” a supporting letter from GP.
It says I can send a summery of his patient record, outpatient clinic letters, report and care plan from GP and consultant.
I remember we got a supporting letter from our GP last time, but I wonder if they don’t consider it as support documents anymore.
Or should I send it anyway (our GP will charge for that…).

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Spring Bunny
This is DWP speak for saying they don't want a letter from the GP supporting your claim to PIP. You can still send in a supporting letter regarding your medical condition/s and the impact on you.

Hi Spring Bunny, it is to some extent still a free country. Send whatever you d__n well like if you think it is relevant to the claim.
I have always paid for GP letters of support for our daughter up till now. The one last time got the precedent set of paper assessment for her. Though I think I won't bother this time as the GP has retired [sad face] and new one has never seen her due to covid, so it would easily be demolished by DWP.
Best wishes
