I have a sofa as an aid to dressing, and am awarded points. You have to explain WHY it is needed. I need to sit down to dress so I don’t fall over, and specifically bought a sofa for my bedroom because of this. My medical conditions/ evidence confirm this; I get 2 points.
Hi Angel, A fairly recently case concluded that using a bed to sit on to facilitate dressing is unlikely to give rise to points as sitting was a ‘usual and normal’ way to dress and that standing was not a necessary function of dressing or undressing. I suspect that the same will now apply to a sofa, which is of course something made to sit on. As a result it is highly unlikely that 2 points would still be awarded for using a sofa to sit on for dressing. LL26
