Hi. Apologies if topic covered before but I'm on Contributory ESA and have just had to sell my property due to various reasons following a fire that had nothing to do with me, but it seriously damaged my Property causing a full rebuild. There will be a gap before purchasing next property due to ongoing litigation. Will it affect my Contributory ESA and DLA. I'm not in receipt of any other benefits of any kind. Is there a time limit I have to have made new purchase by? My original deposit monies are needed for the deposit of new purchase. Do I have to report the sale to DWP. Thanks in advance for your help.
As you are in receipt of CB ESA then it will not affect your benefits, if you are living at a tempory address then you should notify DWP of your change of address, we have heard from members who have changed address and then discover their CB ESA has been suspended until they notify DWP.
