I still find the descriptor confusing tbh.

So if someone who cannot undertake any journey due to overwhelming psychological distress can do a journey there and back on 2-3 days but can’t on the other 4. Would they score points?

If you can't undertake any journey the majority of the time then this will score under acitivity 1E. (10 points)
A claimant who satisfies 1E cannot also satisfy 1F. If they cannot
undertake a single journey on the majority of days due to overwhelming
psychological distress, then 1E will be the applicable descriptor, even
if there are occasions when they could follow a familiar route, if
accompanied.

Is this true?

Hi sierra

You cannot score for your physical conditions against the Going Out activity, it only considers sensory, cognitive and mental health issues.

Sensory issues encompass sight and hearing problems as an example.

Cognitive problems cover learning disabilities and brain injury, you would need to show significant cognitive dysfunction to score for problems caused by another condition.

Mental health issues require you to suffers "overwhelming cognitive distress" and that this OPD would prevent you from continuing to follow a route.

If you are unable to leave you home (undertake a journey) because of conditions such as Agoraphobia or Social Anxiety (there are others) then your ability to follow a route cannot be considered, so, if you have been scored for Descriptor (e) then you cannot be assessed for Descriptor (f).

With 1(e) it’s also the majority of days?

I was told -

If you are unable to undertake any journey the majority of the because of OPD then you should score points for 1E. Going out a few times regardless of where you go doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong.
A claimant who satifies 1E can not also satisfy 1F. Even if there are occasions you could leave the house accompanied by another person.

For example: panic disorder or seizures

Forgive me but I am unsure whether you are saying you meet the criteria for the majority of the time or all the time?

You can meet the criteria if it is only the majority of the time but this will raise questions with those assessing you as to when you can go out and why can't at other times, You will need to address this issue in detail on the PIP2 for and if asked during an assessment.
