Submitting an appeal online was created by Lake
Hi. I'm in the process of filling in the gov.uk online appeal. I've got to the bit where I enter what I disagree with and why. I think I read advice from a moderator on the forum that it's best to attach a document with this information rather than filling in the boxes, because of formatting issues. I can't find the info on the forum. Please could you advise how I attach my grounds for appeal document rather than filling in the boxes. Thank you.

Hi Lake

I complete my submission in a word doc which I save, I then will copy and paste it into the box where it asks you why you disagree.

It will then ask you if you want to up load any supporting documents, I will then upload the submission using the word doc and any other supporting documents.

It does not matter how neat you have set out your argument with paragraphs, it gets all jumbled together with no paragraphs.

Hi Lake,
I think you may have read one of my posts. Just to explain- the SSCS1 firm which you use to lodge an appeal, gets printed out and sent to the tribunal together with all the other papers. When various appeal papers have arrived, I have noticed that the nicely formatted comments I took hours to produce in the ' what do you disagree with ' box comes out as long one paragraph, no breaks, and is incredibly difficult to read and follow. Having seen this on several cases, I gave up trying to use this box, and just say 'see separate document' . I don't know whether this glitch on the online form has been solved, I just don't bother trying!
As Gary says' type as word doc or similar, save and then upload it on the additional evidence page as you can also do with oth saved or scanned documents.
Good luck with the appeal.
