Trying to change assessment date was created by Cemily
I need my CPN as well as my carer with me to support me through the assessment. Her presence last time was clearly the only reason i got points on half the activities (assessors report repeatedly said "MSE - did not appear low in mood, but was supported by carer & CPN... therefore i believe she needs social support to .....")
But this time around CPN's time availability will be very limited so she may well not be able to attend at the time they give.
In the event that they give me a date that isnt suitable for her.... if she rings them will she be able to get a new date/time that fits in with her diary? - i mean will they just give her/us another appointment there & then - while she's on the phone? Or will they just say ok & then send me another date - which she again may not be able to attend?
I'm aware you can only change it once so am a bit concerned.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Cemily
If that happens, then your CPN can ring and ask, and hopefully, they will be able to accommodate a date she can do - but it does depend on their availability of assessors.

Thanks BIS.
I'm still a bit unclear ...
Does the person that answers the phone at Capita have access to the assessors' diaries, & the authority to change the date while she's on the phone with them (assuming they can find a date that fits in).
I've never rung Capita so i dont know if its just a call centre operative who can only take messages, or someone with the ability/authority to change assessment dates.

Hi Cemily
The person on the phone will have all the appointments available for multiple assessors and will be able to change the date.
