Pip renewal was created by Susan Smith
Hi, I have received my pip renewal form and filled it all in to be returned by the the middle of last month.
I returned it by recorded delivery but have not heard if they have received it at all, is this normal or do they normal say when the have received it please.
It is a year before it was due to be renewed but I do understand that this is the norm to be sent out a year early.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Susan Smith In the past the DWP used to send out a text message if they had a claimant's mobile number to say that they had received a form, but this no longer happens on a consistent basis and some people may get a message and others don't. If you sent if by recorded delivery, you should be able to check through the Post Office system that it was delivered and signed for.
If you're concerned contact them and ask,

Hi Susan Smith,
As BIS says: sometimes they do, sometimes they don't send acknowledgement of receipt of correspondence, the DWP that is.
I've always done as you have done snd sent stuff by signed for or if on high alert (my anxiety that is) guaranteed next day delivery -which is costly.
I then check to see if it has been signed for and wait a few days before phoning to see if it has been uploaded onto the system.
Just because someone has signed for it is not 100% proof that they have actually got it, the correct department that is.
Regards,
Phrank.
