PIP review success was created by pomaus
I submitted my Pip review back in January 2022 and today the decision letter finally dropped through the door.

I was fortunate enough not to have to go through an assessment of any kind

I got the same award as last time, but for 3 years this time instead of 5 as before. ( which still confuses me as I have been diagnosed with a permanent Major depressive mentally disabling disorder)

Enhanced Care and Standard Mobility.

I got exactly the same points as last time

There are still areas of points that I disagree with.
I.e not scoring any points for use aids for toilets needs, when I have yo use incontinent pads
only scoring 4 points mixing with other people when it should be 8
Especially when taking into context with the mobility section where they award 10 points for not being able to undertake any journey due to Psychological distress....
It seems illogical that they award me mobility on the basis that I can not cope with social interactions which causes me overwhelming psychological distress. And yet do not give the full points on the daily living component.

But since the extra points would not result in a higher award on the daily living component there seems little point raising this issue.

I do still think and have always thought the decision is wrong on the Mobility and it should be enhanced, because I have always stated and Psychological evidence has stated that I can and do got out sometimes ( with supervision) to secluded places where there are no other people around and I also have to attend medical appointments ( with supervision) I just can not cope with going to busy places like high streets, shopping centres, supermarkets and these sort of places.
SO for some reason the DM always decides to put me in the category that I can not got out at all on a majority of the days.

I am to scared to ask for a MR as I could lose everything and end up having to go to Tribunal ( which I would not cope with)
So I will be satisfied with the award even though it is a shorter award)

This sight is invaluable for its advice and the guides.

I did just as was recommended and submitted my review like it was a new claim, rather than just putting NO change, I still listed how I cope ( or don't cope) with each activity
I submitted a Diary

Thank you to this site for the wonderful guides, the forum moderators and not forgetting the forum users who are always so kind, helpful and supportive of each other.
It really does make me feel proud to be part of a supportive community, especially when many of us feel so alone navigating a world that seems to against us most of the time
So thank you all

Hi Pomaus

Congratulations on your award. Glad to hear that you didn't have to go through an assessment. Award lengths are getting shorter on average, so that's probably why you got three instead of five.
