Completed PIP renewal stating no change along with nhs letter evidence.

1. Do you know how likely people get interview after renewal?

2. How soon after sending off renewal do you know the outcome?

3. How soon after sending off renewal do they tell you about an interview.

Hi HappyUnwell

1. `the majority of claimants are still being given a telephone assessment after their review form, though recently, we have noticed a few members reporting that their award has been renewed without one.

2. Impossible to give you an answer - some people are hearing within eight weeks, and some still haven't heard after eight months.

3. As above it is impossible to give you an accurate timescale because they are so variable. It could be a matter of weeks and it could be months.

Sorry, we can't give you accurate timescales as we used to be able to in the past. But since the pandemic the DWP are fighting a backlog - so things are all over the place with large regional variations.

Thanks loads for your considered reply. We know for certain that it’s not certain. For us it’s been 6 weeks.m so far.

We now realise it will most likely be a phone call. That’s so much less stressful than having to travel to the centre. Just to check. It wound not be Zoom or Microsoft Teams but a phone call instead.

Do you know how much notice the interview letter gives you when you have an interview?

Hi HappyUnwell

You should be given a minimun of 7 days notice, although we have heard on the forum from members who were given less than 7 days.

Some members are asked if they want a video assessment but not all members have the correct equipment or software. There are a number of different formats out there, I am not sure which one the assessors prefer, may be forum members can enlighten us.
