PIP Review was created by taylor
Hi,

My PIP review form has arrived.

It has come early as my current award review end date was for April 2023, but I know they are sent out up to a year before.

I started to fill it in two weeks ago with the help of my partner.

We have all the information and details from my previous review, is it ok to just copy and paste your answers, obviously updating dates and anything else new.

We have just been writing in the boxes please read page/s X of Y for more detail. Is this ok to do as I do not want to start writing my answers in the boxes and then having to continue them on other pages ? I would rather keep the whole information in one place, does this make sense ?

Thank you for any advice.

Hi Taylor

There is no 'right way' of filling out the review form, but what you suggest makes perfect sense and is a method that many other people use.

Yes, you are fine to copy from the previous review with updated information.

Thank you Bis for your very prompt reply.

I just am hoping that everything gets read, as on one of my previous F2F assessments the health care professional, a paramedic, admitted not reading it himself. On our recording too !

Makes me even more anxious :-(
Thanks

Frankly taylor even if you got the award you believed you deserved, such an admission warranted a complaint to the provider!! To try to save others who are not as savvy [eg to record it] from similar abuse. Pain in the posterior.

Good afternoon,

My PIP review form has been posted today, special delivery by 1pm, signed for. (Phew, what a task)

When I had my previous PIP review three years ago a healthcare nurse phoned me to clarify some information, after the call she did a report.
I obtained the report 48 hours after and it was a PA3, which is a paper based report.

My questions I wanted to ask is how likely am I to get a paper based assessment again ?

Also if nobody from the assessment provider phones me for any more information, how will I know what kind of report to ask the DWP for ?

Will it be a case of waiting to see if I receive a letter from the DWP saying that they have all the information they need to make a decision, then ask if a report has been done. I am unsure how it will work.

Im sorry that I have to ask if it is something so simple.

Thank you.

I'm afraid it is impossible to say what type of assessment will be done or whether you will be contacted even if a paper assessment is being done. It will depend on your limitations, how well you have explained them in your Review form and of course the assessor's approach to looking at your claim.

If you have an assessment then it will be a PA4, if not then a PA3 should be produced for a paper review, if the Decision Maker makes the Decision without a referral then you will have to rely on the Decision Letter.
